Two-step sign-in and deleting an app
Your sign-in settings are on Your account, under Account in the sidebar. Everyone on your team has their own and sets it up for themselves.
Two-step sign-in
With two-step sign-in, Yallapp asks for a 6-digit code after your password. The code comes from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password. Someone who learns your password still can't sign in. Until you turn it on, your overview suggests it.
Turning it on
On Your account, select Set up two-step sign-in. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or add an account in the app by hand with the key shown beside it. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows for Yallapp and select Turn on. Cancel leaves the setup before it's on.
You then get 10 recovery codes. If you lose your phone, each one signs you in once instead of a code from the app. They're shown only this once: save them somewhere safe, like your password manager, then select I've saved them. We email you whenever two-step sign-in is turned on or off.
Signing in with it
After your password, the Enter your code page asks for the code from your app. Enter it and select Verify and sign in. Lost your phone? Enter one of your recovery codes instead. Each code works once.
Choosing a new password after Forgot password?, joining a team and signing in to Yallapp Business ask for the code too. Keep Yallapp Business up to date: older versions can't sign in with two-step sign-in.
If a code isn't accepted, check that your phone's time is set automatically. After several wrong codes, wait a few minutes and try again. If the code page waits too long, enter your email and password again.
Recovery codes and turning it off
Your account shows how many recovery codes you have left. Under New recovery codes, enter a code from your app and select Make new codes: you get 10 new codes, and the old ones stop working.
Under Turn off two-step sign-in, enter your password and a code from your app (or a recovery code), and select Turn off. If you've lost both your phone and your recovery codes, message us (see Your account and support).
Signing out of all devices
Under Sign out of all devices, Sign out everywhere signs you out of the dashboard in every browser, this one too, and out of Yallapp Business on every phone. Use it after signing in on a computer that isn't yours, or if you lost a phone. Choosing a new password after Forgot password? also signs you out everywhere.
Deleting an app
Only the owner can delete an app. Open the app in the dashboard, go to App setup and open Delete this app at the end of the page. Type the app's name and Your password, and select Delete this app. Your other apps and your Yallapp account stay as they are.
- The app stops at once for the people who use it: its content, sign-in and notifications stop, and the Yallapp plugin on a WordPress site loses its license.
- Its settings, pages, content, customers with their orders, bookings and messages, its Media files, builds and statistics are deleted.
- Its plan ends with it: nothing renews or is charged. Payments already made are refunded only as the Refund policy says, and we keep their records for billing.
- Its listings on Google Play, the App Store and the other stores stay, under your own developer accounts: remove or unpublish them there.
If you'll ever update the app on Google Play again, download the Android upload key from Builds & downloads first (see Builds and downloads). Changed your mind? Write to us within 7 days and we can restore the app as it was. After that, it's gone for good with its files.
Deleting your Yallapp account
Delete your Yallapp account, on Your account, deletes your account with all its apps and their data. Type your email address and your password, say why you're leaving if you like, and select Delete my account. Every phone signed in to Yallapp Business with your account is signed out at once.
Your account is deleted 7 days after you ask, and we email you when it's done. Until then, Cancel the request on the same page keeps it as it is. Your team loses access. Your apps stay in the stores until you remove them there, and we keep only the billing records the law requires and a record of your request.
Only the owner can delete the account. Someone on your team asks you to remove them from the team; to delete their own sign-in as well, they follow Delete your account.
