The setup steps
App setup in your dashboard takes you through five steps. Each one is saved when you select Save & continue, and you can come back to any of them later. Your first build starts when the last step is done.
- 1
Your first app
On the Overview, Your first app lists every step from here to the stores: the five setup steps, then your plan activated, a first build, Ready for the stores (what Google Play and the App Store check, and how much is still missing) and On the stores. The next step has a button that takes you there. Select Hide the guide if you don't need it, and Show the guide to your first app under App setup brings it back. It goes away by itself once a store shows your app.
- 2
App type
Choose Academy, Store, Bookings or Real estate. See Choose your app type.
- 3
Website
Choose where your app's content comes from and connect it. The choices depend on your app type: see Where your app's content comes from. For your own API, the step has a live check: see Connect your own API.

Branding
- App name: up to 30 characters, shown in the app and the stores.
- Name under the app icon: up to 12 characters, shown on the phone's home screen.
- App icon: a PNG, 1024 × 1024 pixels, without transparency.
- Logo: a PNG or SVG, shown on the sign-in screen.
- Primary color and Splash screen background: the color of buttons and highlights, and of the screen shown while the app opens.
- Template: Classic, Bold or Minimal, and the Font.
The live preview shows your choices as you go. Your pages, the secondary color, corners and cards are set later in Pages and look.
- 5
Store listing
- Android package name and iOS bundle ID: your app's permanent identifiers, like com.yourbrand.app. Use lowercase words separated by dots. The package name can't be changed once your app is on Google Play, and the bundle ID must match the one in App Store Connect.
- Store title (up to 30 characters), Short description (up to 80 characters, shown under the title on Google Play) and Full description.
- Support email and Privacy policy URL: both stores require them.
- Screenshots: 2 to 8 Google Play phone screenshots, and up to 10 iPhone screenshots at 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796 or 1260 × 2736 pixels. PNG or JPEG, without transparency. Don't show prices or buy buttons in iPhone screenshots.
- Tablets and iPads (optional): up to 8 Google Play tablet screenshots, at least 1080 pixels on the short side (shown for 7-inch and 10-inch tablets), and up to 10 iPad screenshots at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 pixels. The App Store asks for iPad screenshots when your iPhone app runs on iPad.
- Frame the screenshots (optional): each one is sent in a thin phone frame on your app's main color with a caption above it. Write the captions one per line, in the order of your screenshots.
- Language of these texts, and the listing in your app's other languages: when your app has more than one language, write the title, descriptions and captions in each. Google Play and the App Store show people the texts in their language; a language you leave empty shows the main texts. When we publish for you, each new version sends the listing in every language with its screenshots.

Publishing
- App Store Connect API key: the Issuer ID, Key ID and private key (.p8) from App Store Connect › Users and Access › Integrations › App Store Connect API, with the App Manager role. It's needed to sign your iOS app; without it you get the Android app only.
- Push notifications (optional): your google-services.json and GoogleService-Info.plist files from Firebase. See Push notifications with Firebase.
- Pro and Business plans: also a Google Play service account key (JSON), so we can upload to Google Play for you, unless you asked our team to publish the app (Publishing page). See Publish on Google Play.
Keys are encrypted, never shown again, and used only for the builds you start. You can remove them at any time.
When you finish, your first build is queued. Follow it on Builds & downloads.
