Clinics: doctors, visits and the intake form

A Clinic app works like a Bookings app, in the words your patients expect: your dashboard shows Doctors & services and Visits, and the app talks about doctors and visits. Choose Clinic on the first page of App setup, then I don't have a website on the Website step.

Services, working hours, days off and booking rules work as described in Services, team and appointments.

Your doctors

Select Add a doctor for each doctor or therapist who sees patients. Besides their role, services and working hours, you can add:

  • Specialties, separated by commas, for example Orthodontics, Children's dentistry
  • Languages they speak with patients
  • About them: a few lines shown on their profile in the app

The intake form

Under Intake form, select Add a question for each thing you'd like to know before a visit. A question's answer can be:

  • Short answer: up to 200 characters
  • Long answer: up to 2,000 characters
  • Date, for example a date of birth
  • One of a list: write the options one per line

Turn on Must be answered for questions patients can't skip. Use Move up to change the order, and Delete question to remove one; answers already given keep the question as it was asked. Patients answer in the app when they book a visit, and see their answers with the visit.

Visits

Each new visit appears on Visits with the patient's name and how to reach them. Open Intake answers to read their answers. You get an email for each new visit; it says the answers are on your dashboard, but never includes them.

Privacy

Intake answers are visible only to the patient, in their visits in the app, and to your clinic, on your dashboard. They're never put in emails, push notifications or text messages. They're kept with the visit by Yallapp, on servers hosted by webek.org. Ask only what you need before a visit.

With a WordPress booking plugin

Clinics that book through Amelia, BookingPress or LatePoint get the doctor, patient and visit wording, but no intake form in the app for now: patients book the way they do in a Bookings app.

Payment happens at your clinic. The app never takes payment for a visit.
